Decorating With Canopy Bed Frames
I have always thought that no bed is more beautiful than a canopy bed. As a child I remember this amazing bed made of wrought iron that my parents had in their bedroom. It wasn’t actually a canopy bed frame, but it was high enough to hang a canopy from. Sheets and blankets draped over the bed frame made a secret fort to play in when our parents weren’t home. Those times were so much fun and perhaps the reason why I love canopy bed frames so much now. I like how the canopy makes me feel safe and completely sheltered from my cares and worries.
There is a huge assortment of types of bed frames that you can get on a modern canopy bed. For my home I chose my personal favorite - the wrought iron bed frame. I love the solid but delicate look as well as the strength of the bed. That isn’t to say that there aren’t a lot of wooden bed frames that are both high in quality and in style. Wood frames are great because they weigh less, are more gentle to your floor, and are more forgiving when you run into them. Try a wooden bed frame if you are one of those people who seems to bump into everything in your path.
