Fuzzy Picture
“Why is my picture fuzzy?” For those who still subscribe to cable because of the fallacy that satellite tv will “always” lose it’s signal when it rains… here is the dilemma. The further you are from where the cable signal generates the weaker the signal will be. Often cable HD isn’t that much better than the regular satellite picture without HD.
How can this be? Really simple. Reason number one is that not all cable channels are digital. A considerable amount of cable channels are really analog still even with a “box” on your tv. Reason number two is that many cable customers don’t live right next to the cable source that generates the providers signals, therefore, before the signal ever gets to the vast majority of cable customers, it has already been deteriorated.
Now for that fallacy… no, satellite doesn’t always lose it’s signal when it rains. Granted with the first few lines of satellite television technology this issue was relevant. However, with all the technology upgrades and improvements this is rarely an issue.
As a result, subscribers save a lot of money and receive the best picture and sound possible… %100 digital every time, every channel, and every house. The signal is generated right at the Dish either attached to or installed by the customer’s house.
