The Question Is… What is Alternative Medicine?
A precise definition of alternative medicine would be rather long, but it could be sumed up by saying that alternative medicine is any procedure or treatment that you couldn’t get from your family doctor. When you go to your family doctor, you expect to feel better after seeing him. He doesn’t want to disappoint you, therefore, he gives you a prescription for a treatment, but not a cure. In fact, the word cure is never used in the doctor’s office. In alternative medicine, the physician looks at the whole body and tries to figure out the cause of the problem. Finding and curing the cause of a problem will probably take longer than deciding on just a treatment for a problem, but once the cause is discovered and cured, the problem is less likely to come back.
