Warts - How You Get Them And How To Get Rid Of Them
No one really wants warts, but do you really know how they are caused? Luckily, if you’ve got them, you can get rid of them and they may even go away on their own.
Believe it or not, they are actually caused by a virus. It’s called human papillomavirus in it mutates your skin cells. A wart is the result of this virus which causes your cells to multiply too fast. The mosaic appearance of the warts is due to the fact that it is actually several cylindrical growths of skin fused together. Warts have blood vessels just like other parts of your skin and these are the dark dots that you might see if you look at them closely.
All warts are caused by this virus, but they are actually a few different kinds of warts you might get. Common warts are the typical warts we think of on our hands and elbows. Plantar warts are the ones on the bottoms of your feet. Plantar warts are often transmitted through sweat pouring in pools and public showers. Because the skin in your face is thinner, warts that grow there are usually flatter and, thus, called flat warts.
Getting rid of warts may take some trial and error - there are many methods but not every method works for everyone. Everything from salicylic acid to freezing to duct tape could work. Try one method if that doesn’t work choose something else - eventually you’ll find something that does get rid of your warts.
