Pregnancy Health Insurance is not Maternity Leave Insurance
There seems to be some confusion as to what pregnancy insurance is. Let’s start by clearing up one thing: Pregnancy Health Insurance is not Maternity Leave Insurance. In fact it’s doubtful that any insurance would even entertain maternity leave insurance. Just think about it for a second! Insurance companies sell insurance policies in the hope that no claim will be made, thus meaning they make the most profit from that policy. So why would any insurance company allow any woman to take out a maternity leave insurance knowing that a claim will be almost inevitable? It just doesn’t make sense. Pregnancy insurance, on the other hand, is a different story as it covers the pregnancy for possible complications and may have additional cover that is not included on a general health insurance policy.
