Finding A Healthy Cooking Oil

There are only two types of fats: good fats and bad fats. These are classified as to whether or not they have the ability to raise good cholesterol and lower bad cholesterol. The two bad fats are saturated fats and trans-fats. Saturated fats raise total cholesterol as well as bad cholesterol. Trans-fats raise bad cholesterol and lower good cholesterol. Thee two good fats found in healthy cooking oil are monounsaturated fats and polyunsaturated fats. The monounsaturated fats found in healthy cooking oil lower the bad cholesterol and raise the good cholesterol while the polyunsaturated fats in healthy cooking oil also lower the bad cholesterol and raise the good cholesterol. Based on this, the best and most healthy cooking oil will contain both monounsaturated fats and polyunsaturated fats while steering clear of saturated fats and trans fats.
