Gradually degrading typing posture
Bad habits form over time, and bad typing posture is unfortunately one of them. We all start out with good posture, but as the years pass by with 8-hour days in front of the computer, it gradually degrades in to an unhealthy back position. Common symptoms are feelings of low energy, irritations, and back ache. If only people would take the time to improve posture through some simple good habits.
A good typing posture starts with straightening up, sitting upright but not overdone. Your head should be at a neutral level or looking slightly down towards the computer monitor, your feet flat on the floor, and your legs pointing straight ahead.
Good posture isn’t always enough, because this too can become static and stressful for your back. Make a habit of getting up every hour or so for a short walk and stretch.
