Top Five Gym Workout Bodybuilding Tips
Gym workout programs can be as individual as the people involved in them. Different techniques and tips work differently for people who try them. A program that delivers outstanding results to one bodybuilder may be of no use to another. But there are some general rules which have been proven to be successful to anyone who follows them. Here they are compiled into an easy to follow list of five simple points that you should keep in mind.
1. Have a Clear Weight Training Plan
When you enter the gym you should know exactly what you are going to be doing in that days training. Plan ahead which exercises you will be doing on the day, how much weight you are going to lift, how many reps you want to do. Enter the gym with a purpose, and achieve that goal.
2. Be in a “Warrior” State of Mind.
Be focused on what you are doing. You have set yourself a goal and that should be the only thing that matters to you at this time. You must have this focus as soon as you enter the building. Make yourself believe that you have something to prove and achieve. Your attitude and drive are powerful in pushing you to achieve what you are hoping for. Focus on conquering the next rep, like a warrior defeating an enemy. It must be a powerful feeling of focus; you should really want it intensely. It may sound silly, but believe that you are a warrior fighting a battle.
3. Focus on Effective Nutrition.
Around two hours before you begin your gym workout have a snack of carbohydrates and protein to give you the right amount of energy that you will need to get through your training session. Make sure that you are properly hydrated with water. Water is vital for life and you should be making a point of drinking at least half your bodyweight every day to keep you from dehydrating while you train intensely.
4. Bodybuilding Workout Log
It is important that you keep a record of your progress. Note down the number of reps you managed and any other information that is relevant. This way you will know what you need to work to beat. If you neglect to do this, and have no record of your achievements, you are unlikely to improve, or even know if you are improving.
You may be able to simply remember your best results or even those from the last few sessions. But you will not be able to remember every session. Having the record log will show you if you peaked during a certain time or if you slumped. It may prove useful to compare your results over a longer period of time to see whether you had a long stretch of good or bad results compared to how well you are performing now.
5. Train, don’t Socialize
Remember, stay focused on what you are doing. Make progress, keep working on it. The more you procrastinate, chat to people and muck around you will lose focus on the real reason for your being there. If you lose focus, you will not improve. Focus on conquering the next level of your training and get the muscle growth that you are wanting.
