Global cooling is happening in the Southern Hemisphere!
While there may be an heatwave going on in the Central and Eastern US, altough not record breaking, it has in the US media been promoted as a proof of human caused global warming. Most people would call this weather, summer weather!
Currently however the solar activity has entered a prolonged period of solar inactivity. Historically similar period has always been followed by a steady fall in global temperatures.
Right now the Southern Hemisphere is experience unusual periods of heavy snowfall and cold weather.
The Earth’s climate is now shifting toward colder weather. Because cooling leads to bigger temperature difference between the poles and the tropics, the trend is toward more storminess and blocking of weather systems. This types of weather blocking cause more severe winters, cause more heat waves and more flooding when low pressure system become stationary for a longer period than normal.
