The great sports car designer Donald Healey designed the Austin Healey 100-4. It was named the 100 because this was one of the first sports cars that could sustain a speed of 100 miles per hour.The British Motor Corporation (BMC) built the 100-4 from 1953 to 1956
The first BN1 version of the car attained a top speed of 106 mph when tested by Motor magazine in 1953. It could accelerate to 60mph in 11.2 seconds. The first cars were fitted with a 2660cc engine and 3 speed manual transmission with overdrive. The engine had a power output of 90 brake horse power.
The later model, the BN2 was produced starting in 1955. It had a 4 speed transmission. A 100M version was also produced with a 110 brake horse power motor and twin 1 ¾ inch SU carburetors and a modified front suspension.

Before you start winterizing your sailboat, you need to make some important decisions. How and where are you going to store the boat? If you intend to haul the boat out of the water, where are you going to store it? if you have to leave the boat in the water you need to get good local information about the severity of the ice formation and how best to combat it. Tarpaulins don’t cost as much as shrink wrapping, but you’ll need to make more frequent inspections. You should unstep the mast no matter how you protect the boat. The mast can form a support for tarpaulins. If the boat is left in the water, unstepping the mast reduces windage and strain on the rigging.
During the winterization procedure, the motor requires the most attention. The motor is the most vulnerable piece of equipment on the boat. All water needs to be drained off or protected with anti-freeze. The head also needs to be protected as does the fresh water system. All loose equipment should be removed from the boat. Electronic equipment should be removed and stored in a warm dry place. Batteries should be removed.
